New Cadillac Escalade Available in Mansfield, Ohio

What's New This Year?

Arriving this year is a new Escalade model called the V-series. This high-performance model is powered by an updated version of the CT5-V Blackwing's 6.2-liter V-8 engine and should produce 682-hp. The V model comes standard with all-wheel drive and sports six-piston Brembo performance brakes with red-painted calipers. This new model will also see the return of the Escalade's air suspension.

Performance

The standard engine in this vehicle this year is a 6.2 Liter V8 engine with 420 horsepower and 460 pounds per foot of torque and is accompanied by a ten-speed transmission. This powerful motor can go from a stand-still to 60 miles an hour in under six seconds. The towing capacity comes to 8300 pounds for the rear-wheel-drive Cadillac Escalade and 8000 for the all-wheel drive option. The RWD has a fuel economy of about 15 miles per gallon in the city and 20 MPG on the highway. The AWD option only loses one MPG from that.

Should you decide you'd rather sport the diesel option around Ashland, OH, you'll certainly be thrilled with the fuel cost difference. In the city, the diesel Cadillac Escalade sips about 21 MPG and 27 MPG when traveling on the highway in the RWD. Again, the AWD option only gets a single MPG less than that. The turbodiesel 3.0 inline six takes a significant horsepower loss at only 277 HP. The diesel still outputs 460 pounds per foot of torque and has a ten-speed automatic transmission. Additionally, the less power-hungry diesel can still tow up to 8000 pounds in the RWD option or 7800 with AWD.

An available AKG 36 speaker sound system option is amazing, to say the least, and the standard system has 19 speakers, still AKG. Select trims include a full-color heads-up display or night vision system. A rear entertainment system will keep the whole cabin happy, while an augmented reality-enabled navigation system helps drivers around Medina, OH reach their destination. Now, let's talk about the new 38-inch, curved OLED diagonal display that's almost completely digital. This amazing dashboard display has two times the color density of a 4K TV and the largest color spectrum in the automotive industry to date.
