The future is electric. Every year car companies are producing more and more electric vehicles. Never one to be left behind or outdone, Cadillac is starting to do the same. Coming in the 2023 model year, Cadillac will unveil its first EV model called the Lyriq, which will be a game changer for the company and luxury models.

Get to Know the New Lyriq

As a new Cadillac model, there is much to learn about what the Lyriq can offer. For starters, the new Lyriq will be an SUV, and it will be powered by a 340-hp electric motor slotted on the rear axle. A 500-hp dual-motor with all-wheel drive will be optional, adding a second motor to drive the front wheels. Cadillac will also launch a line of new EV batteries called the Ultium when the Lyriq is released, allowing for 312 miles of range.

Upon release, the Lyriq will come with all of Cadillac’s latest tech. Inside the cabin, drivers will find a unique 33.0-inch advanced advanced LED display that will act as both the digital gauge and infotainment center. The Super Cruise system will be installed, allowing for hands-free driving under certain conditions. An automated parking system will also be available, and it that can be activated from outside the car.

And as drivers cruise around town or on the highway, they’ll be kept safe thanks to many driver-assistance features. Several of which include automated emergency braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control.

The Future Begins at Graham Cadillac

The Lyriq is the first in a long line of electric models Cadillac aims to produce. And when these new models do arrive, the perfect place to pick one up will be at Graham Cadillac, located in Mansfield, OH.
